Evasi0n Jailbreak Exploits Haven’t Been Patched By 6.1.1 – This morning, following Apple’s release of iOS 6.1.1 beta 1 to developers yesterday, pod2g (a contributing iOS hacker to the evad3rs team) confirmed that Apple’s latest beta doesn’t patch the iOS vulnerabilities exploited by the Evasi0n UnTethered iOS 6.1 jailbreak. Although this is great news for the jailbreak community, Apple will surly patch the iOS 6 Untethered jailbreak with the upcoming 6.1.1 firmware – it’s only a matter of time. Due to the fact that the jailbreak isn’t patched in the new developer release, it’s likely that the first 6.1.1 beta was in development prior to the release of evasion.

Although it goes without saying, if you’re a developer who has a jailbroken iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, avoid upgrading to 6.1.1 beta. In spite of Apple failing to patch the jailbreak in the first beta release of 6.1.1, evasi0n remains incompatible with the firmware, as it was only design to include support for 6.0, 6.0.1, 6.0.2 and 6.1.
